Grant Drum Line Music Association was founded in 2009 simultaneously with Grant Drum Line. At the time of its formation an association was not being discussed. The main drive was to support students through positive engagement and opportunities. As the Drum Line grew, so did the vision and desire to serve more students in need. Compelling research in combination with our collective experiences as educators has led the Association to believe that social emotional competencies are important to academic preparation in helping students succeed in college, the workforce, and maintaining mental health. There has also been recognition that these factors offer promising levers for raising the achievement of underprivileged children and ultimately, closing achievement gaps based on race and income. 

Mission

The primary purpose of Grant Drum Line Music Association (GDLMA) is to benefit youth in the Del Paso Heights region by raising and contributing funds to be used for educational, athletic, extracurricular and arts activities. The GDLMA shall promote community support and awareness of the various educational, athletic, and extracurricular events, programs, and activities within the Del Paso Heights region and communities.

OUR NEXT INTERNATIONAL PERFORMANCES

The GRANT DRUM LINE has set our sights on Europe for 2023, and we intend to bring our brand of Tantalizing Accurate Percussion (T.A.P.) to London and Paris!

London is famous for it's Notting Hill Carnival, renown for Afro-Cuban rhythms and drumming. Paris is a cultural center for arts and music. Both countries offer a rich experience for youth drummers.

Our partner, Music Celebrations International, have been organizing parades and concert tours of exceptional quality throughout the world for over 25 years. Their professional and experienced staff will handle all of our travel arrangements and accommodations down to the last detail. They have been our go to booking agency for performances in DC, Times Square, Hiroshima, Cape Town, and Pretoria, to name a few.
