The mission of GOLDEN STATE PERFORMING ARTS is to inspire
creativity, entertain, and deepen appreciation for the arts through
the transformative power of live performance and education.
As we work to build our organization, we need resources to help to develop the space where we'll perform - DDSO Parkway Community Theater. This is a former church which is being transformed into a performing arts space. Specifically, we are working to expand the stage, create lightning and sounds and make the environment more hospitable to audience members and performers.
- Lighting fixtures and installation
- Sound system including microphones and sound board
- Expanding the stage
- New seating to replace the existing pews
- Updating balcony to provide better sight lines
- Curtains to close in the audience space
- Updating and modernizing the entry
- Creating signage for the street
- Portable seats that can be used at our alternative location
- Storage of our equipment, costumes and props
- Projector and backdrop
Additionally, we will use funds to secure another location for performances that will not work at DDSO Parkway Community Theater.

- No one should be excluded for financial limitations. Tuition waiver opportunities to cover enrollment fees of classes and/or workshops or help cover expenses for items needed to participate in productions when applicable. Create a system to evaluate processes.
