Paws for a Purpose is a separate fund totally dedicated to assisting with emergency medical and dental funding for our shelter pets as well as the City of Elk Grove resident's pets. Costs for life threatening surgeries can be catastrophic leading to surrender or euthanasia! At any given moment, we can be faced with a medical or dental cost that is far above our budget. Experiencing this ourselves led us to create this fund for those faced with extraordinary life-threatening decisions. To date, we have assisted with emergency funding for over 120+ pets.
While continuing to support the efforts of the City of Elk Grove Animal Shelter, we will be focusing on Paws for a Purpose. The need is ongoing and we hope to never have to say no to a pet in distress! We are so grateful to the generous donors who support us with this mission. Without their support, many lives would be lost.
Our mission statement is not only a mission, it's a Passion! Passion for unwanted, abused, stray and abandoned animals. All animals are precious and we have a duty to provide them with care and a loving, forever home.
