$10,000 Goal

Fortune School is a network of high-performing, tuition-free public charter schools and nonprofit preschools serving Sacramento and San Bernardino, alongside statewide educator preparation and graduate programs through Fortune School of Education. Open to all, we are dedicated to closing the African American achievement gap by building a seamless pipeline—from preschool through higher education—that prepares scholars for success in college, career, and life. At every level, our community is united by a shared commitment to hard work, excellence, and opportunity.

Guided by our Five Pillars—High Expectations, Choice and Commitment, More Time, Focus on Results, and Citizenship—we cultivate academic mastery, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in our scholars. This foundation ensures students develop both the character and the college-going mindset needed to thrive in the 21st century.

Equally central to our mission is Fortune School of Education, which serves aspiring and current educators across California. Through our master’s degree and credentialing programs, we prepare teachers and school leaders with the skills, knowledge, and commitment needed to drive student achievement and expand educational equity. Together, our schools and higher education programs form a cohesive, statewide model for lasting impact.

Mission

To graduate high-achieving students of good character prepared for college and citizenship in a democratic society.

Needs

Help Fortune School students shine! Your support for our Visual & Performing Arts and Athletics programs gives scholars the chance to explore their talents, build confidence, and thrive both in and out of the classroom.

Equity Statement

Fortune School is committed to educational equity and to closing opportunity gaps that have disproportionately impacted African American students. We believe every child deserves access to high expectations, rigorous instruction, and the support needed to thrive—regardless of background or circumstance.
