$29,000 Goal

Forest Resource Collaborative (FRC) was founded to develop funding and programs for sustainable forest management in rural communities of El Dorado County.

Mission

The mission of Forest Resource Collaborative is to support forestry projects that improve economic, social and environmental opportunities on the Georgetown Divide and beyond.

Needs

Our organization is seeking funding to support the development and implementation of our mobile wood splitting "Get-a-Round" program. Our goal is to purchase a repeating splitter which can process entire rounds quickly, and to hire a full time operator for the program. This will provide a direct and efficient local solution to the build-up of excess wood from thinning and utility clearing. It will also create a source of firewood for local residents.

Equity Statement

Everyone benefits from healthy forests, clean water, and clean air. This organization recognizes the importance of these resources to the entire community and we invite all of our neighbors to learn about and engage in sustainable forest management.
