FOLFAN is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2008. We are the Cooperating Association for the Folsom Lake State Recreation Area. Cooperating associations are nonprofit organizations whose mission is to support a specific state or national park. The support may take many forms. Some focus on interpretation and education activities. Some focus on recreation. Some focus on providing and coordinating park volunteers. Some focus on fundraising. Some manage park gift shops, museums or concessions. 

FOLFAN's mission is "Enhancing education and recreation opportunities for the public and protecting the wonders and resources of Lakes Folsom and Natoma."
