Needs
Program Funding
Support to sustain and grow core youth mentorship and enrichment programs, including:
• NLT Mentor (High School 9–12) — tutoring, academic support, and social-emotional learning.
• Emerge Mentor (Girls 7th–8th) — adolescent processing groups with weekly guided discussions.
• The Exchange Mentor (Boys 7th grade) — intervention & continued mentorship throughout the school year.
• TENS Service (Boys 8th graders) — year-round service-learning with community engagement.
→ These programs depend on consistent funding for staff time, materials, transportation, and mentor support.
Student Support Resources
Many EMERGE participants benefit from additional direct resources, such as:
• supplies for learning spaces and tutoring materials
• books, technology access, school supplies, and mentorship tools
• stipends or incentives tied to service-learning participation
→ Donations help ensure equitable access to these supports
Operational & Capacity Needs
Supporting infrastructure ensures EMERGE can operate effectively and scale impact:
• administrative support (office supplies, communications, technology)
• professional development for staff and mentors
• facility expenses (space rental, utilities, insurance)
→ These foundational costs are often not covered by program revenue.
Scholarships & Incentives
Some programs (especially service-learning and mentorship) could benefit from donated scholarship funds or incentives that support:
• participant achievements
• transportation to program sites
• summer enrichment opportunities
→ Incentive funding increases participation and retention.
