Giving Activity

Mission

The EGUSD FIRST Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting students and teachers throughout the Elk Grove Unified School District. We raise funds to bridge resource and opportunity gaps through innovative programs, strong community partnerships, and a steadfast commitment to the success of every student.

Our work focuses on expanding access to educational opportunities, empowering educators, and engaging the community in meaningful ways while exercising responsible stewardship of all resources. We are especially committed to intentionally supporting our most vulnerable communities to ensure every student has the tools, support, and opportunities needed to thrive and achieve success.

Needs

The Elk Grove Unified School District FIRST Foundation is dedicated to enriching the educational experiences of students throughout our community. Through initiatives such as the Educator Grant Program, Newcomer Welcome Centers, and Family Teacher Academic Teams, we empower students, families, and educators to help shape dynamic learning environments and inspire a lifelong passion for learning.

While public education funding supports essential needs, it often falls short of covering innovative and transformative opportunities for students. The EGUSD FIRST Foundation helps bridge that gap by providing resources that bring creative ideas to life. Our support expands access to meaningful learning experiences, strengthens family engagement, encourages critical thinking, and provides additional support for students and families.

By investing in these initiatives, we help create inclusive, engaging, and forward-thinking educational spaces where every student has the opportunity to thrive.

Equity Statement

Envisioning a school system without barriers - where every student’s needs are met and every learner has the opportunity to thrive - we asked ourselves, What if?

That question sparked the legacy-building journey that became the EGUSD FIRST Foundation: a commitment to expanding opportunities, empowering students and families, and transforming educational experiences across our community.
