The East End Child Care Center and its Board have been in existence since 2003, supporting the opening of the childcare program at 1411 O Street in 2005. In 2008, they began contracting with Milestones Child Development Centers Inc. to provide high quality equitable strengths-based care to the Sacramento region.  With support of the EECCC, Milestones had incorporated the development of deep relationships within the community through communication and continuity of care (where caregivers move with cohorts of children through the program from infancy to graduation) as well as other research-supported tenets.

The EECCC is on a mission to support community members who struggle to pay for high child care costs through scholarships that would cover some or all of the tuition costs for eligible families.

Giving Activity

Mission

The East End Child Care Center (EECCC) contracts with providers to provide high quality equitable childcare experiences for children ages newborn to pre-kindergarten. EECCC is renowned for superior quality educational and social programming. Parents are involved in the classroom and other educational activities. Parents are routinely given the opportunity to participate in the decisions and activities of the Center.

Our Board members are dedicated professionals who are committed to the mission and values of our organization. We allow our members to participate in decisions that impact the experiences of the children of the EECCC, and the strategic direction of the EECCC.

EECCC is known throughout the region for providing the highest quality of care and education to children. EECCC is also recognized as a leader of childcare services through our continued innovative and contemporary approach to the changing needs of our community.

Our goal is to provide high quality experiences for all children within the Sacramento region through outreach, fundraising to be used toward scholarships for families in need, and developing a nature-inspired program in an urban setting.
