Giving Activity

Mission

1-BRING FREEDOM to victims of exploitation (in the greater Sacramento region, the US, & abroad) through safe, ethical artisan employment.

2-CONNECT YOU, the compassionate shopper, with an easy way to empower survivors of injustice, homelessness, poverty, trafficking, and oppression with a hand UP.

Needs

The most crucial needs, particularly following the pandemic, are...

#1 - FUNDS

-Donations and Recurring Monthly Artisan Partnerships

These funds are diverted (at the direction of the Do Good Shop Board of Directors) to the artisans and communities who need it most!

#2 - SPREADING AWARENESS

-Donating Advertising, Inviting a Do Good Shop representative to speak, Hosting an ethical pop-up shop, Spreading the word about the work of Do Good Shop within your circles, socials, company, place of worship, clubs, etc.

#3 - SPACE IN EXISTING RETAIL

-Donating space in your salon, store, studio, place of business for a small Do Good Shop display creates more opportunity/work for our artisans.

Equity Statement

At the core of Do Good Shop, we care about each individual.

From the Partner Artisan, to the Board Member, to the Executive Director, to the Compassionate Shopper, each person brings to Do Good Shop a uniqueness that no one else can.

As we think about diversity, equity, and inclusion, we strive not only to welcome all people but also to celebrate the beauty of each individual, learning from each other and our varied backgrounds, cultures, orientations, and life experiences. In so doing, as a community, we seek to create a more equitable world, starting here within our small, nonprofit organization!
