$10,000 Goal

Since 2017, the DNA Doe Project (DDP) has pioneered the use of Investigative Genetic Genealogy (IGG) to restore the names and identities of Jane and John Does. Our nonprofit mission is simple: to ensure every unidentified person is returned to their family and loved ones, regardless of their circumstances or the financial constraints of the jurisdiction where they were found.

Mission

We identify John and Jane Does (unidentified deceased persons) using investigative genetic genealogy (IGG), acting as a bridge between high-tech genomic science and traditional detective work to give names back to the nameless and provide closure to their families.

Needs

Funding for capacity building and Doe-Nate cases.

Equity Statement

Diversity Focus: As a women-led nonprofit, we recruit and train diverse volunteers from all backgrounds, fostering the next generation of forensic genealogists to ensure every case is handled with expertise and care.
