Happy 50th birthday to the California Conservation Corps!
For 50 years, the California Conservation Corps has represented the best of California – service, education, opportunity and stewardship. Corpsmembers answer the call when fellow Californians are in their greatest time of need. In the past half-century, they have spent 19 million hours responding to such natural disasters as wildfires, floods, pest infestations and earthquakes.
Corpsmembers strengthen our communities by protecting our forests, planting millions of trees, building and maintaining trails, and improving streams and fish habitats. At its core, the CCC is a vibrant workforce development organization that empowers young adults to parlay newly acquired skills, leadership quality, work ethic and sense of duty into such careers as environmental conservation, firefighting and park service.
The CCC Foundation is the Corps’ nonprofit partner that enhances the programs and corpsmembers by raising money to advance their education, training, personal growth and career opportunities. From scholarships and skills development to industry-recognized certifications that turn a year of service into a career pathway, the CCC Foundation improves the lives of young men and women who may have faced significant hurdles and challenges.
As we celebrate the CCC 50th year, your donation to the CCC Foundation will help chart their futures and protect the communities they serve. We are grateful for your generosity.
