Since 1988, the CCC Foundation (CCCF) has been the heart behind the hands of the California Conservation Corps. As a nonprofit public benefit organization, we exist to elevate and empower young people, especially those who have been historically underserved, through meaningful service, career training, and personal transformation.

At CCCF, building community is our strength. We actively welcome youth from all backgrounds (ages 18 to 25) looking for more than just a job—we offer a path forward. There are no educational requirements—just a desire to grow, serve, and be part of something bigger. Our corpsmembers gain valuable skills, leadership experience, and an unparalleled chance to protect and restore California’s natural beauty.

Whether it's fighting wildfires, rebuilding after natural disasters, or restoring green spaces in underserved communities, corpsmembers are not only doing critical work—they’re building futures. And we’re there every step of the way.

We support programs like The Wilderness Program, which introduces young people of color and other marginalized groups to backcountry life and careers in natural resources. Nearly half of the participants who’ve completed the program have gone on to work in environmental fields. We also run Pathways Program, designed to bring foster youth into the CCC experience, providing guidance and support to help them thrive.

Through strategic partnerships and community grants, CCCF leads urban greening projects, supports stormwater conservation, and ensures corpsmembers gain hands-on job training that leads to lasting employment. From building Energy Labs to offering HAZWOPER and firefighting training, we’re giving our young people the tools they need to step confidently into careers that matter.

But our impact doesn’t stop in the field. When disaster strikes our own, we step in. From emergency relief funds for CCC families affected by wildfires to ensuring corpsmembers can celebrate milestones like high school graduation and leadership conferences, CCCF is always there to lift up our community.

Why We Need Your Help?

Your donation fuels opportunity. It funds training, provides wilderness access, supports at-risk youth, and helps us respond in times of crisis. Most importantly, it transforms lives—one young person, one project, one community at a time.
