ABOUT US
Since 2004, we have served as a beacon of hope for foster youth navigating the judicial system. We recruit, train, and empower compassionate volunteers to serve as Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs).

A CASA volunteer acts as the eyes and ears of the court, ensuring that every child’s voice is heard and their best interests are protected. By building a trusting, long-term bond, a CASA is often the only consistent, caring adult in a child's life during a time of immense uncertainty.

Our Core Programs:

  • CASA Advocacy: Our advocates provide hope and stability to foster youth who have been detained by the judicial system through no fault of their own. They serve as a powerful voice for the voiceless, working to ensure every child achieves permanency in a safe, stable home.
  • Be Bold Program: This specialized initiative supports youth who have experienced human trafficking. By pairing them with a dedicated CASA and offering educational and confidence-building activities, we help survivors reclaim their future.
  • Family Services Prevention Program: We work directly with families whose children have been detained or are at risk of removal. Our mentors provide peer-to-peer guidance and support, equipping parents with the tools necessary to break generational cycles of poverty, domestic violence, and homelessness.
  • Kinship Allies Program: We support relatives who have stepped up to care for their kin. We provide the vital resources and navigation support these families need to build a successful, nurturing home environment.

Through this dual approach of advocacy and prevention, we strive to ensure every child has a permanent, safe, and nurturing place to thrive.

Our Impact in 2025:
In the past year alone, we supported 472 youth in Placer and Yuba Counties through our CASA and Be Bold programs. Additionally, we empowered 295 families through our Family Services Prevention Program and 50 families through our Kinship Allies Program.

Giving Activity

Mission

We support and empower foster children, at-risk youth, and families in crisis by connecting them with compassionate volunteer advocates who provide hope, guidance, and a pathway to stability and lasting permanency.

Needs

For children experiencing the trauma of family separation and entering the foster care system, your help is more vital than ever.

Your generosity can provide these children with a Court-Appointed Special Advocate (CASA)—a trusted guide and advocate who will stand by their side, offering guidance, stability, and hope as they navigate the challenges of the justice system.

Together, we can make a lasting impact. Can you help?

Your support creates powerful bonds, like the one described by a youth in our program:

"When we met, it was hard for me to trust new people. But you quickly became a mentor and a good friend I could talk to about anything. Thank you for being with me through all the ups and downs." --Tyler, age 8.

Your donation can give a child in foster care a trusted friend and advocate when they need it most.
