California Emergency Foodlink (CEFL) is a nonprofit organization that has provided food for our friends and neighbors facing hunger throughout California. Simply put, CEFL works every day to provide food to people in need while building solutions to end hunger in our communities. CEFL works across the food system to provide access to nutritious food that nourishes families, children, seniors, the homeless and individuals. Through partnerships, education and programs, CEFL empowers communities to overcome hunger creating an environment where all Californians thrive. CEFL believes that for a community to thrive, each member of the community must have resources they need to flourish and CEFL strives to provide equitable access to healthy nourishment for all.

Mission

California Emergency Foodlink (CEFL) was founded in 1992 with the mission of finding sensible solutions to hunger that effectively address its root causes: poverty and joblessness. To accomplish its mission CEFL has implemented a mission strategy of building better communities by proving jobs, preventing hunger and training for the future.

Needs

Monetary donations to purchase food and for maintenance and fuel for our fleet of trucks to continue to pick up much needed donations throughout California.
