CCHI is a statewide, non-profit membership association, comprised of 32 community-based organizations (CBOs) and local government partners throughout California who employ Community Health Workers (CHWs), enrollment counselors, and Health Access Assisters (HAAs) who offer culturally and linguistically appropriate navigation services to help clients understand and utilize their health coverage. 

With 17 years of experience addressing socioeconomic barriers to health care access and advocating on behalf of our state’s most vulnerable populations, CCHI and members empower communities through community engagement, collaborative partnerships, and health access initiatives. 

Mission

Since 2007, CCHI’s mission has been to improve the health and well-being of all Californians by supporting our members in meeting the needs of their communities.

Needs

From language barriers and housing or food insecurity to limited access to healthcare and mental health services, communities across California face a wide range of challenges. CCHI supports our members in meeting these needs, helping ensure that essential resources and care reach the people who need them most.

Your donation helps us show up where communities need us—funding booths at local events, covering travel to connect with partners, and participating in statewide initiatives that expand access to care. Every gift strengthens our ability to reach more Californians and make a tangible difference in their health and well-being.
