Mission

The California Black Chamber of Commerce Foundation is committed to being a resource for local and statewide communities. Our mission starts with educating local and statewide communities of the importance of financial literacy. Through financial literacy we can build small businesses with strategic coalitions. Next the California Black Chamber of Commerce will plug into the mainframe the American capitalistic system to create a new paradigm for Sole Proprietorship.

Needs

COMPETITIVE EDGE: Series is a five-year initiative. A face-to-face regional engagement with small and medium business enterprises throughout the state to influence their ability to be successful. With subject matter ranging from creating joint ventures (JVs) to Prime-Subprime relationships. Inclusive in the series there is both private/public certifying criteria market research on products and services provided together with access to capital for business expansion.

FUTURES INITIATIVE: The California Black Chamber of Commerce and the Foundation utilizes the "Council of Chambers" (22 Chambers throughout the state), a program to train and prepare our community youth for the future. While the primary objective being to create tomorrow's entrepreneur, the underlying objective is to create responsible young adults capable of competing in the 21st century's challenging environment. To achieve this objective, emphasis is placed on "STEM" subject matters including pre & post school hours allocated studies.

IMPACT COMMUNICATIONS PROJECT: It is the goal/objective of the California Black Chamber of Commerce Foundation to affect the dynamics of our community through the impact of our communications platform. The CBCCF currently is the only Chamber of Commerce Foundation in the state of California that owns and operates a low-power FM radio station which streams worldwide and provides "Real-Time broadcasting".

The Impact Project objective is to educate, train, and create engagement of the community at large on those issues/subjects that the Chamber Foundation deem critical to the overall growth and development of communities of color in general and African American communities in particular. Subject Matter includes family structure, consumer education, financial literacy, health issues and economic development and empowerment.

Add 10% to 20% more jobs to the California small business community by changing our small business model from a sole proprietorship to two-four employee models.

A chamber-owned building would provide training space for small and emerging businesses; to expand radio operational space and promote an incubator-like facility to assist with office development. It would also allow us to provide technical assistance for assisting micro to midsize business enterprises develop their skills and qualifications.
