Our goal this year is to raise $5,000 to support programs under our Get Connected Initiative. The Get Connected Initiative is composed of three programs that help bridge the digital divide.
CATAPULT Program - Computer Distribution
Our Catapult Program addresses the lack of computers that students and individuals encounter which become a barrier to success. We help kids leap over this barrier by giving them refurbished computers to do their schoolwork.
EMPOWER HOUR Program - Digital Literacy
Our Empower Hour Program helps individuals to safely use the internet to get what they need. We host classes tailored to assist individuals, from basic internet searching, emails and social media, to more advanced topics. These trainings build essential online skills for education, employment, and healthcare.
OPEN DOORS Program - Internet Affordability
Our Open Doors Program assists households in locating low cost internet programs in their neighborhood. We guide them to understand what is available, and then help them sign up.
TRANSFORMING COMMUNITIES
A refurbished computer, affordable internet, and online training can change lives. Your gift helps us hire Computer Technicians and Digital Navigators - trusted community guides who assist individuals in getting online to apply for jobs, access healthcare, and engage in education.
