What We Do: Conquer Arthritis

The Arthritis Foundation is the Champion of Yes. Leading the fight for the arthritis community, the Arthritis Foundation helps conquer everyday battles through life-changing information and resources, access to optimal care, advancements in science, and community connections. Our goal is to chart a winning course, guiding families in developing personalized plans for living a full life -- and making each day another stride towards a cure.

Mission

The Arthritis Foundation is boldly pursuing a cure for America's #1 cause of disability. We champion the fight against arthritis with life-changing resources, science, advocacy and community connections. In person and online, our Live Yes! Arthritis Network empowers people to connect with others and live their best life.

Needs

JOIN OUR LOCAL LEADERSHIP BOARD: We are looking for community leaders who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals living with arthritis to join our board.

LIVE YES ARTHRITIS NETWORK: The Live Yes! Arthritis Network, created by the Arthritis Foundation, empowers people to live their best lives. Though the Live Yes Network you can connect with people who care, get valuable resources and even change the future of arthritis. Donations allow the expansion of this network during a vulnerable time to build connections.

JUVENILE ARTHRITIS ENGAGEMENT: Donors who help to fund our Juvenile Arthritis programs create the ability to expand these programs to a virtual atmosphere where safety and inclusivity is a must. Juvenile Arthritis activities can cover any camping experiences that give children with arthritis the opportunity to connect with other children, along with funding our Juvenile Arthritis Family Days to connect local families together. Donors funding our JA Activities create the ability for families to get the support they need to find doctors and educate them about an arthritis diagnosis.

Our funds go towards research and education in the local community. Funding research or education in Greater Sacramento County allows the Arthritis Foundation to expand the reach to adults and children who live with arthritis.

SUMMER CAMP: We are in need of funding for our multiple summer camps for children living with juvenile arthritis. Camps are a great experience for children to feel "normal" and they are completely free for the families. The Arthritis Foundation's JA camp programs give kids with arthritis and related childhood rheumatic diseases the chance to make lasting memories.

Local JA summer camp in Northern California is Camp Milagros.
