$20,000 Goal

The American Cancer Society is the leading cancer-fighting organization with a vision of ending cancer as we know it, for everyone. We are the only organization working to improve the lives of people with cancer and their families through advocacy, research, and patient support, to ensure everyone has an opportunity to prevent, detect, treat, and survive cancer.

While most people know us for our research, we do so much more. We attack cancer from every angle. We promote healthy lifestyles to help you prevent cancer. We research cancer and its causes to find more answers and better treatments. We fight for lifesaving policy changes. We provide everything from emotional support to the latest cancer information for those who have been touched by cancer. And we do it all 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

In our Sacramento Region, we are working to accomplish...

Transportation & Lodging
Reduce the barriers of transportation and lodging to provide equitable access to care for people with cancer and their families.

  • Recruit New Volunteer Drivers
  • Amplification of ACS programs to impact more patients within our region geography

Prevention & Screening
Increase prevention awareness and overall access to/utilization of cancer screenings to help detect cancer early, when it’s most treatable.

  • Raise awareness about the importance of early detection and connect the Sacramento Region residents with resources to build healthier lifestyles and access to imperative screenings
  • Improve cancer screening rates in the Greater Sacramento Region

Patient Navigation
Increase ACS effectiveness to convey the scope of resources available to individuals, families, communities, and the nation.

  • Recruit volunteers for ACS Cares App
  • Increase traffic of patients utilizing ACS Cares App to engage with the full library of resources

Celebrate!
Celebrate the accomplishments of your impact through two unique mission resourcing opportunities: Cultivate: Culinary Campaign to End Cancer, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer - Sacramento

  • Personally and corporately join us in these celebrations!
  • Invite others to join you through these celebrations and/or through engagement with ACS overall

Thank you for your support!
