$25,000 Goal

American Wild Horse Conservation (AWHC) is the nation’s leading conservation organization preserving freedom and habitat for wild horses and burros.

AWHC is raising the standard for wild horse and burro protection with the world’s largest humane management program, using scientific fertility control techniques instead of traumatic and costly helicopter roundups.

AWHC’s Land Trust is actively acquiring and restoring habitats to support self-sustaining wild horse populations in ecological balance with other wildlife.

AWHC’s Legal and Investigations team holds the government accountable for maintaining federal protections, assuring animal welfare compliance, while driving program transparency and exposing system abuse and tax waste.

AWHC’s Lobbying team - backed by our strong grassroots advocacy base - is wild horses’ most powerful voice in Washington, DC and western states, promoting forward-thinking legislation to keep our treasured herds in the wild and bringing international awareness to wild horse and burro conservation.
