American Foundation for Music (AFFM) is a San Diego-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing music and culture through education, professional performance, cultural exchange, and community engagement. AFFM creates opportunities for young musicians, professional artists, and diverse audiences to connect through high-quality concerts, youth music programs, masterclasses, artist mentorship, senior outreach, and collaborative cultural initiatives. Through programs in San Diego County and beyond, AFFM works to expand access to meaningful musical experiences while supporting artistic excellence and the next generation of musicians.

Needs

American Foundation for Music (AFFM) seeks support to expand access to high-quality music education and live classical music experiences. Current needs include funding for youth orchestra programs, student scholarships, masterclasses, community concerts, senior outreach, professional artist fees, venue and production costs, instruments and equipment, educational materials, and organizational capacity. Contributions help AFFM provide meaningful opportunities for young musicians, support professional artists, and bring high-quality musical experiences to communities throughout San Diego County and beyond.
