The Alliance Française de Sacramento was founded in 2000 and now counts more than 600 members and 250 students per session. We offer French language classes for adults and children as well as private lessons. We also host a variety of cultural and social events throughout the year, including our signature Fête du Beaujolais Nouveau in November. The Alliance Française de Sacramento is part of an international network of 1,200 chapters in 112 countries, including 110 chapters in the United States.
The Alliance Française de Sacramento is an independent nonprofit organization that receives no funding from government sources. We rely on our donors, members and students to continue to offer quality French instruction and cultural events.
Our top needs:

  2. Funding: Program - Scholarships
  3. In-Kind Donations - Event silent auction & raffle, sponsorships from local businesses and corporations
  4. Volunteers - For events & committees

'Over the last year, the Alliance Française de Sacramento has experienced major changes. In 2016, we renovated and moved to our beautiful French language and culture center at CLARA (the E. Claire Raley Studios for the Arts) in Midtown Sacramento. In addition, after the retirement of our beloved founder and longtime director, our new executive director came on board this summer and is already implementing fresh ideas.'

'We are excited to participate in the BIG Day of Giving to raise funds to upgrade our facilities, offer a wider variety of classes, cultural programs and events, and strengthen our community of Francophones and Francophiles. Un grand merci to our students, members and donors - it is thanks to all of you that we are able to continue to share the beautiful French language and culture with people in the Sacramento area.'

Sincerely,
Kristin Rapinac, President, Alliance Française de Sacramento
