The vision began when Jennifer was 11 years old taking care of her grandfather as he was dying from lung cancer. Months of watching him lay in bed sparked an interest to help those who were seriously ill. It was very hard to take care of him and watch him in unbearable pain. Her mom took care of the necessities to live and she relieved his pain through countless massages. The night before he passed, he gave her a kiss on the forehead and said God was taking him home. That night he passed and sparked her mission in life.

'I got involved with Sweet Dreams Foundation because I saw the need to give back to these children who are going through a hard time. Once Jennifer told me her vision of Sweet Dreams and what she had been through, I knew I could share my talents of creative building on every project that would come our way. I decided to get involved and helped found the organization. Since then, our team has brought many smiles to very sick children and their families by giving them a place where there are no talk of doctors or medicine a place of healing, their dream bedroom. One of the most inspirational rooms that we worked on was Aimee's Ocean Dream Playroom. Three of my brothers got involved and helped build a rock that Aimee could hide inside and watch a movie under a starry lit sky or she could climb on top. It was great to have my brothers involved and give back to a little girl who could not be exposed to the sun or she would get skin cancer. Aimee is battling XP and it deeply touched me because she cannot play outside like a normal child. It is something that most of us take advantage and don't realize how blessed we are being able to feel the sun shine down on us. '
