Light the World

Giving back to the country of Ghana and Sacramento has been an amazing privilege. Serving women and children who are displaced due to domestic violence and other hash conditions have resulted in extraordinary success stories of women who have risen form 'ashes' to great success in their personal quest for restoration and growth. Embarking on serving the homeless in Sacramento County is an amazing opportunity to help the disadvantaged find a way to a better life and restoration. In Ghana, each year, we pick a community in a rural area in Ghana that has either limited or no electricity. We donate solar lamps, books, and supplies to members of the community. We also share the Gospel with them. In both areas of service, we engage with displaced or vulnerable women and children to give hope and motivation.

Mission

MISSION:

To inspire hope and individual achievements through education and the gospel.

VISION:

Our vision is to provide solar lights to every community that has no access to electricity, provide age-appropriate books and supplies to young boys and girls, support women and children in our local region and abroad, and motivate personal growth in the community.

Needs

Promoting Education: Donate solar lamps, age-appropriate books, supplies to young boys and girls in rural communities with no electricity and in many cases, portable water.

Over the years, we have served thousands of families and continue to serve over 1,000 families each year. We are now embarking on providing such services to the homeless in Sacramento County. There are approximately 5,550 homeless people in Sacramento county alone and this number is likely going to increase.

Transportation and Cost of Activities: Provide personal assistance to displaced women and their children. In Sacramento County, we transport these families to their appointments and provide resources for different local activities.

We desperately need an office in Elk Grove or South Sacramento.

We need volunteers to help us distribute solar lamps and supplies to the homeless in Sacramento.

Training leaders to help motivate and promote personal growth in their community locally and internationally.

We need new non-profit donor software to effectively track and communicate with our donors and constituencies.
