Hands4Hope - Youth Making A Difference is a non-profit, youth-driven organization based in Northern California. Their mission is to inspire and empower youth in leadership and service. Through this organization, youth gain awareness of and have the opportunity to explore areas of need in their communities, as well as creating and implementing projects that make an impact for the chosen cause. 

Heather's Story: I have been a member of the Board of Directors since January 2019. I currently serve as Vice Chair of the Board and Chair of the External Affairs Committee. I've chosen to dedicate my time to Hands4Hope – Youth Making A Difference because I’ve seen firsthand the impact this program has on the youth who leave this program with confidence, compassion for others, and leadership skills they may not have otherwise had. These young people are truly awe-inspiring! Also, I love that Hands4Hope youth come from all different backgrounds and experiences. Inclusion is a key value of Hands4Hope which creates a welcoming, engaging, and safe environment for all. As a result, Hands4Hope provides opportunities for youth to discover their passion and purpose.

Lily's Story: I am currently a sophomore at Ponderosa High School. I have been involved with Hands4Hope - Youth Making A Difference for almost five full years and I hope to be a part of the organization for many more to come. I am currently the vice president of the Ponderosa club as well as the public relations coordinator on the Hands4Hope Youth Board. Over the past year, I have become very involved in the organization. I always have fun at events and look forward to meetings. One thing I love about Hands4Hope is the opportunity I have to work with so many different people. I have formed close relationships with both adults and youth and I have learned so much. My communication, time management, and organization skills have significantly grown. I also love giving back to the community, which is why I love being a part of Hands4Hope.
