$50,000 Goal

Established in 1994, the Center for Fathers and Families (CFF) has a 30-year history of responding to the needs of fathers and fatherless families. CFF's vision is to re-establish the important institution of Fatherhood, while promoting the theme that 'Fatherhood is Forever'. We strive to equip each member of the family with the skills, information, and resources necessary to promote a strong family life, which in turn promotes stronger, healthier communities. CFF serves an average of 5,000 predominately low-income children and families annually through our programs and services that address one or more of our three primary initiatives:

- Starting young people on a positive path
- Helping parents achieve and maintain success
- Empowering families to thrive together

Our life-changing programs include:

MASTERS (Making Afterschool Time Enriching, Rewarding & Successful).

MASTERS serves over 1,000 low-income children and families every school day (Monday-Friday, 3pm-6pm) by providing homework assistance, education, enrichment activities, recreation, Hands on Mentoring; and health and wellness activities. We also provide dinner to all our students.

Adult Services:

Our goal is to provide the community with high-quality services that will enhance everyday lives and help build stronger families, whether full families or single-parent families. Adult services provide assistance for MEN and WOMEN of all ages. Our Adult Classes and Services include:

- Daddy's Here
- Practical Parenting
- Taming Your Temper
- Co-Parenting
- Life Skills
- Drug & Paternity Testing

The Helping Hands Program

The CFF Helping Hands Program provides short-term emergency aid to low-income families in Sacramento who are involved with or graduates of CFF family education programs. The program offers one-time grants to help families who are currently or at risk of being unhoused and who need emergency assistance in areas such as purchasing food, preventing utilities from being shut off, or providing a deposit for housing. The Helping Hands Program aims to ensure that the families we serve have their basic needs met and keep them in safe and stable housing.
