$10,000 Goal

At Aging with Grace Housing Initiative, we are profoundly committed to transforming the lives of seniors by providing safe, affordable, and compassionate assisted living options, especially for those with annual incomes below $50,000. In California, the average annual cost of assisted living is approximately $59,352, with cities like San Francisco reaching as high as $93,324 per year. This stark disparity means that many older adults, particularly those relying solely on the average Social Security benefit of $16,859 per year, face insurmountable financial barriers to accessing quality care.

The reality is that over half of California households aged 65 and older depend primarily on Social Security for their income, leaving them vulnerable and often unable to afford the support they desperately need. The emotional toll of navigating these financial challenges, coupled with the overwhelming task of finding a supportive, community-centered environment that addresses their physical, emotional, and mental needs, can be devastating.

Our organization bridges this critical gap by repurposing homes into Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly (RCFEs), creating intimate, home-like settings that honor the dignity and well-being of each resident. Through a combination of foundation grants, donations, and government funding programs like Medi-Cal, we offer high-quality care to seniors who might otherwise be excluded from such services. These resources enable us to provide not only a safe and comfortable living space but also essential services such as therapy, case management, medication management, and psychiatric care. Our holistic approach ensures that each resident's physical, mental, and emotional needs are met within the warmth of a family-oriented environment.

Our mission is to make assisted living accessible to seniors of all income levels, especially those facing financial hardship. By transforming private homes into licensed RCFEs, we offer an alternative to institutionalized care, fostering small, personalized communities where each resident receives individualized attention. We collaborate closely with healthcare providers, social services, and local organizations to create customized care plans for every resident, ensuring they receive the support they deserve.

To expand our impact and serve more seniors in need, we are seeking support from compassionate individuals, organizations, and businesses who share our commitment to affordable elder care. Your contribution, whether a one-time donation, recurring gift, or grant, will directly support the development, operation, and care provided in these homes. With your help, we can continue to expand our services and ensure that more seniors have access to the care, respect, and dignity they deserve.

At Aging with Grace Housing Initiative, we believe that every senior deserves to live with dignity, regardless of their financial situation. With the support of our community, donors, and government partners, we are making it possible for seniors to thrive in an affordable, nurturing, and loving environment. Your generous support will make a lasting difference in the lives of vulnerable seniors, providing them with the compassionate care they need and deserve.

Culturally Competent Care – We provide training for our staff on cultural humility and bias reduction to ensure that every resident is treated with dignity and respect.

Community Collaboration – We partner with local organizations, advocacy groups, and healthcare providers to create an interconnected support system for our residents.

Continuous Improvement – We actively seek feedback from residents, families, and community stakeholders to assess and enhance our equity practices.

Fair Hiring & Workforce Development – We promote diversity in hiring, fair wages, and opportunities for professional growth within our organization.

By embedding equity in our policies, practices, and daily operations, we strive to create a more just and inclusive elder care system. We believe that every senior deserves a home where they feel valued, respected, and supported, regardless of their background or circumstances.
