Hope Campaign: Empowering Survivors

For 45 years Empower Yolo has been a beacon of hope serving the community, especially during the pandemic. As Client Navigators, we meet people everyday from all walks of life. Each person that comes to Empower Yolo has a unique experience and story which is true and valid for each of them.

Individuals come to our office seeking resources and services ranging from domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, stalking, housing, rental, tax, and interpreter assistance. We guide and assist clients to navigate and connect with the vital resources and services they are seeking but most importantly we objectively listen to the client, many of which are sharing their lived experiences and stories for the first time. We empower clients to make the best decisions for themselves, no matter what their decision may be, by providing information, advocacy, and support. Through this process we build a connection with clients which fosters growth, resiliency, and self-empowerment.
