Fundraiser Story

There is something life-changing that happens when a young girl realizes she is powerful, valued,

and not alone.

Every day, girls are navigating a world filled with pressure, uncertainty, and challenges that often go

unseen.

Many are trying to figure out who they are while facing peer pressure, low self-esteem, family struggles,

and the constant noise of social expectations. Too often, they don’t have a safe space to express

themselves, to be guided, or to simply be heard.

The Multicultural Sistaz Club, created through the Stanley Girls Learning Health Center for Children

(SGLHCC), was built to meet that need.

This is more than just a program. It is a safe space, a sisterhood, and a foundation for growth.

Over the course of six weeks, girls in 3rd through 8th grade come together to explore powerful life topics

including love, leadership, life skills, boundaries, legacy, and purpose. They are encouraged to speak up,

build confidence, and discover their identity in a positive, uplifting environment.

At the same time, young women in 9th through 12th grade step into leadership roles as mentors. They

don’t just guide the younger girls — they grow too. They learn responsibility, compassion, and what it truly

means to lead by example. This creates a beautiful cycle of empowerment where girls are lifting each

other up at every level.

And the most important part?

This program is completely free.

We believe that every girl deserves access to growth, mentorship, and community — regardless of her

family’s financial situation. No child should be turned away from an opportunity to build confidence, learn life

skills, and feel like she belongs.

But while the program is free for families, it is not free to provide.

We rely on community support to cover:

  • Activity supplies and materials for weekly sessions

  • Space and facility costs for hosting the program

  • Instructors and leaders who pour into the girls each week

  • The final celebration that honors each participant’s journey and growth

This celebration is especially meaningful. It is a moment where each girl is recognized, affirmed, and

reminded of how far she has come. For many, it is the first time they feel truly seen and celebrated.

Your support helps make all of this possible.

When you give, you are not just donating to a program.

You are helping a girl find her voice.

You are giving her tools to navigate life with confidence.

You are surrounding her with mentors who care.

You are investing in her future.

And when one girl is empowered, it doesn’t stop with her.

She impacts her family, her peers, and her community.

This is how change begins.

We invite you to be a part of that change.

To stand with us.

To invest in our girls.

To help us continue building strong, confident, and empowered young leaders.

Because every girl deserves the chance to shine.
