Save Them All Horse Rescue was conceived out of one person's dream. From the words of our Founder, "Save Them All Horse Rescue was conceived due to life changes: I got older. Riding my Harley and being around horses were the happiest times of my life. Both are expensive hobbies, and one had to go. I chose horses. It was the funds from selling my Custom Road King that got the rescue going and, on the journey, to continue saving horses. I began rescuing horses in 2011 with my own funds and became 501(c)(3) in 2014."

Save Them All Horse Rescue is a no frills, all volunteer run, small rescue with consistent hard-working volunteers and has grown to where we assist 18-25 horses per year. Additionally, we offer many programs to the public and provide vital education regarding horses and their welfare: such as, Open Houses and Community Days, community service hours for high school students, internships for students, and community service hours for Sacramento County Sheriff's Dept.'s Alternative Sentencing Program for traffic violations. Volunteers are the backbone of making our horses trust and feel loved. Without the assistance of volunteers, we would not be as successful as we are in our mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home unwanted horses. Horse lovers who donate to our cause are indispensable and we are grateful to those wonderful people that support our mission.

Mission

Our mission is to rescue horses! All horses that are unwanted, whether they have been abused, neglected, abandoned, or in threat of being sent to slaughter. Our goal is to rehabilitate these beautiful horses, both physically and mentally, and re-home them to permanent, loving homes. It is also our mission to educate the public on the plight of horses in America today and to make a difference in the lives of horses and people.

Needs

Funds for Food: Hay and grain are fed to our horses every day. Feeding our horses is our biggest expense and is ongoing, the monthly cost exceeds $4,300 for 22 horses. Our weekly hay cost is $1,028 at $26 a bale, special feeds for senior horses $70 and necessary supplements $225. We feed quality hay or alfalfa to reduce veterinary costs.

Trainer: We are in need of specific funding for hiring a trainer for our untrained horses and the yearlings that have not yet been started. Our dream is to be able to afford a part-time trainer for the horses to get them ready for adoption sooner and help more horses at risk.

In-kind services of an Attorney to prepare legal forms and give advice; In-kind services for a tractor and tractor work; and sand and gravel for round pen.

Veterinary Expenses: New horse intake exams, Vaccinations twice a year, unexpected injuries/illnesses.

Farrier Expenses: Hooves trimmed every six to seven weeks and occasional horseshoes, if medically required.

Volunteers: In 2023, we moved to an adjacent property. We still need assistance with rebuilding corrals and shelters and cleaning and organizing tack. If you have the time, we have a project for you!

Equity Statement

Save Them All Horse Rescue is a non-profit promoting horse welfare in Northern California. Our motto is to change the lives of horses and people. We welcome people of all backgrounds, ages, race, religion, sexuality, gender, creed and color to work alongside one another providing for rescued horses. The environment is one of learning safety and creating relationships both with horses and the people who come to the rescue facility. We require our volunteers to be mindful of fair and equal treatment of everyone. We welcome everyone to the ranch and provide them opportunities for their talents to be fruitful and learn respect for horse and others, maintaining natural horse-person-ship values.
