Description
Our members, dubbed "Official Gearheads" are an integral part of the Museum's success. Over 60,000 visitors from around the globe tour the Museum every year, but our members take their support to the next level. To show our appreciation of this invaluable support, we host several member-only receptions and exhibit sneak previews throughout the year, as well as discounts on all our events and car shows.

We ended 2018 with more than 900 member households, as well as more than 500 in attendance for member events throughout the year.
Description
One of our biggest revenue streams is our Vehicle Sales program. Every year, we have dozens of cars either donated to the Museum or consigned through our consignment sales program. All cars donated to the Museum are presented to the exhibits committee to have the opportunity to add to our Museum collection, however, all donated vehicles that are not accessioned to our collection have the opportunity to benefit the Museum through the sales program. We have evolved to be the premier venue for buying and selling classic cars, as we have several hundred visitors to our sales floor every month, and thousands of online visitors and inquiries.

Description
Our exhibits tell the story of the history, design, and technology of the automobile, with a special focus on the influence of automobiles on California's culture. We have nearly 150 cars on permanent display, covering the early days of innovation that led to the creation of the automobile, the "brass era" that was ushered in by the predecessors to Henry Ford's legendary Model T, the roadsters and luxurious sedans that personified the glamour and excess of the Roaring Twenties as well as the scofflaws of the Prohibition era, the sleek, atomic styling of the 1950s and 1960s, and the cars of the 1970s and 1980s that "broke the mold" in terms of simpler design and fuel efficiency in the modern consumer era, put into gear by environmental concerns, rising inflation, and the growth and diversification of the Asian car market.

Recognizing that not every child is college-bound for a career in a white-collar field, we believe we can interest and engage some of these at-risk youths, and help foster a love of everything automotive, whether as a profession or hobby, in the souls of our community's youngsters.
- Students benefit from personal hands-on involvement in programs that range from exploring the latest in alternative energy vehicles in our Going Green Exhibit for alternate-fuel and other environmentally advanced cars to our Motorworks Program where automobile models are put together via assembly line, just as they were a century ago.
- Our student tours are aligned with California State curriculum standards for math, science, history and social studies.
- The California Automobile Museum has active partnerships with Universal Technical Institute's (UTI) automotive education program, as well as Sacramento State's Formula SAE program.
