Organization Details

We match adult volunteers (Bigs) and youth (Littles) based on their personal interests, life experiences and geographic proximity to where the volunteer works or lives. Bigs commit a minimum of one year to building a relationship with their Little, as having the same mentor gives our Littles consistency and the much-needed confidence that comes from having a dependable adult to listen to and encourage them. Our staff recruits, screens and educates volunteers, helping them every step of the way to ensure the safety and success of the match. 93% of youth say that having a mentor is important to helping them achieve their goals and make better choices, contributing to brighter futures, better schools and stronger communities.
Program Successes
Youth in our program build self-confidence and learn positive interpersonal and decision-making skills to develop into competent, achieving adults. The simplest things, like consistent time spent together, have the greatest impact on a child.

A study of former Littles showed that:
- 92 percent of Littles improved or maintained their scholastic competence.
- 84 percent of Littles improved or maintained their educational expectations.
- 88 percent of Littles improved or maintained parental trust.
