Description
The Historical Society of Winters is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that is dedicated to preserving and sharing the rich history of Winters through educational events, research, oral histories, and photo and artifact exhibits. The primary goals included the creation of the Winters History Museum as a permanent home for local collections.

Program Successes
The Winters Museum opened on November 30, 2018. The opening exhibit featured the local newspaper, The Winters Express. In March, the Museum moved on to a second feature exhibit which highlighted the history of the annual Winters Youth Day celebration. In May, the Museum hosted the Winters Plein Air Festival. More recent exhibits have focused on Winters Agriculture and Winters Military Veterans. Future exhibits will include Town Sports, Businesses & Schools, Famous Families, and Cultural Groups & Diversity.
