Description
Fair Oaks Theatre Festival (FOTF) produces two main stage productions (musical comedies) each season. Our main stage productions are presented three nights a week, for five weeks each during the summer, in our outdoor amphitheater. Future productions will include new musicals from our theatre family.

Unfortunately our 2020 season was cancelled due the pandemic.

Open auditions are held each spring, in April, and result in talented casts of local community actors, college theatre students, and young students. We also offer opportunities for theatre technicians, stage hands, and stage managers. Our main goals are to present quality theatre, further the instruction of students within a working theater environment, and affordable ticket pricing for our patrons.
Budget
$40,000
Program Successes
- Productions in the past two seasons (2018, 2019) have been among the best attended and best selling shows at FOTF.
- Due to new marketing efforts we have increased our Season ticket holder base in the past year.
Description
Fair Oaks Theatre Festival produces a show for children with performances during the month of July. Our production allows families with young children to experience live theater and participate as audience members. In 2019, our production of Aladdin included the supporting roles of townspeople to be played by the kids in the audience. Admission for all performances is offered at a reduced rate to encourage attendance by families.
Budget
$7,000
Program Successes
- Children have the opportunity to interact with the cast-members after each performance; asking questions, taking pictures and obtaining autographs.
- Our audiences have steadily increased over the last two years due to the support and partnership of American River College Theatre Arts.
- Social media has increased our audiences through word of mouth.
