Description
Attended by over 6,000 FFA members, the State FFA Leadership Conference serves as a 4-day culmination of hard work and reward, as students compete to demonstrate their excellence in an agricultural career pathway. From researched-based agriscience projects to public speaking contests, students proudly showcase their accomplishments while being motivated by inspiring keynote speakers and the retiring addresses of their fellow State Officers.
Budget

Program Successes
Like all the other conferences, the State FFA Leadership conference continues to grow due to not only the membership growth of the organization, but the quality and impact of the conference. At the state conference, official business of the organization is conducted. Students serve on committees and participate in committee hearings to discuss amendments. Through this real-life learning process, FFA members are empowered by their vote to have a voice in their organization. Thanks to sponsorship dollars, last year we've been able to offer $125,000 worth of scholarships for students attending the conference. As a result, attendance has steadily increased. In addition, during the 2018 State FFA Conference, nearly $100,000 in academic scholarships and awards were given out to students pursing a career within the agriculture industry.
Description
With over 89,000 students, membership in the California FFA is at an all-time high because the FFA reaches ALL students and offers programs where students learn real-life skill sets. It's cool to wear the blue and gold! Reflecting and learning who they are, setting personal goals, becoming a leader, and learning career skill sets are just a few of the things an FFA member experiences. With a goal to offer assistance to deserving students and increase capacity, the California FFA Foundation seeks scholarships for students and sponsorship of programs and conferences.

Program Successes
Our success is really measured in numbers. With the recent record-setting membership and program involvement we believe we are making a difference in the lives of students. Last year, more than 89,000 students were exposed to careers in the agriculture industry. Over 89,000 students in California learned the value of water and where their food comes from. As a result of the ongoing education, more students are choosing to pursue a career in agriculture following high school graduation.
Description
"Learning to Do. Doing to Learn. Earning to Live. Living to Serve.' These powerful twelve words launch students into the California FFA Leadership Development Continuum and serve as the foundation of personal development. Through a succession of personal development conference, students learn, reflect, and implement strategies to help them become engaged citizens in their home and communities. A true success story, the continuum is bursting at its seams as our members pursue the next step in their personal development. Therefore, there is a need to increase the number of conferences in the California FFA Leadership Development continuum to meet the demand of student participation. Currently, there are over 50 conferences offered annually throughout the state:
- 33 Freshman Greenhand conferences - $5,000 each
- 8 Sophomore Made for Excellence conferences -$25,000 each
- 8 Junior Advanced Leadership Development conferences - $15,000 each
- 1 Sacramento Leadership Experience - $75,000
Budget
$650,000
Program Successes
As we enter another year of the Leadership Development Continuum, we are seeing unprecedented growth in students taking agricultural education courses. Our success is measured by this and by the demand in students wanting to attend leadership development conferences. During the 2017-2018 year, conference attendance grew by 23%. Conference locations as well as conference capacity are constantly being monitored to try to keep up with demand.
