Board Structure

Our governing body oversees the program outcomes, recruitment, maintenance of National CASA standards, and all financial matters. Our executive director meets regularly with the full board, attending all meetings and participates in all board committees. Our associate director and other staff serve on the program committee and external relations committee. Program staff and board members interact regularly at events, an annual staff/board mixer, and during the course of presentations at board meetings and when board members attend the initial CASA trainings and continuing education sessions, as applicable.

The full board meets every other month and has at an all-day retreat in July. In the months that the full board does not meet, the four committees, comprised of at least two board members each and community members, meet. The Finance Committee meets monthly and is comprised of Vice President, Treasurer, CPA board member and executive director. Executive Committee is comprises of all officers and executive director. Program Committee (program goals/outcomes/services) has three board members, three staff and five volunteers. External Relations Committee (fundraising and outreach) has six board members, two staff, and five volunteers. Each committee meets six times per year and reports to the full board at board meetings. Each committee has goals and outcomes tied to our strategic plan.
