$12,000 Goal

For over 40 years, PRO Youth & Families has been engaging and connecting youth with opportunities that inspire hope. Our various youth empowerment and wellness programs are offered in schools and community-based settings.

We inspire hope through three areas of work:

  1. Youth Voice
  2. Wellness
  3. Collective Impact

PRO creates spaces for young people to discover who they are, explore topics that impact their daily lives, cultivate skills, and develop into leaders and change-agents for their communities.

Giving Activity

Mission

Mission and Vision: Our mission is to inspire, educate, and mobilize young people to build a healthier future for themselves, their families, and their communities.

We envision a future where youth recognize their value, have access to support and opportunities, and believe in their ability to make change.

Needs

In 2023, we served over 3,000 youth - empowering them with the knowledge, skills, and tools to help them achieve a healthier life. Our biggest need is for funds to scale our programming so we can serve a greater number of youth in 2024.

Partner with us this Big Day of Giving, as we continue to create safe spaces where youth can:

- Receive knowledge and tools to improve their mental wellness

- Explore topics that result in healthier relationships

- Develop into leaders and change agents for their communities

Equity Statement

PRO Youth & Families commits to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in the programs we run, the communities we serve, and within our organization:

We commit to providing opportunities for continuous learning and growth for our staff and leadership on the history and impact of racism, white supremacy, systemic oppression and cultural competence in order to create a culture of accountability within our organization.

- We commit to the continuous creation of sustainable opportunities to empower youth of color to leverage and advocate for policy changes that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.

- We commit to hiring staff, leadership and board of directors of racial and ethnic diversity to better represent the populations we seek to serve.

- We commit to using PRO’s resources to leverage the capacity of organizations and leaders that represent and address the needs of disenfranchised and vulnerable populations.

- We commit to not be complicit to and profit from the systems that perpetuate racial inequality.

We remain steadfast and vigilant in our commitments. Our ethics of action and dedication to social justice will place us on the right side of history. The investment we make in the youth we serve and the communities we impact will result in a lasting legacy of positive change.
