Destiny Community Center

We partner with the school districts to target under resourced families in the community. There are two significant aspects to it. First, the Destiny Community Center houses free resources. These resources fall under Education, Arts, Family Wellness and Community. Specific programs, classes and workshops are always being created and we partner with other NPO's to help them fulfill their mission as long as it is in stride with ours. The second aspect are events and activities outside the Center. They fall under our Love Our City banner. We provide bikes at Christmas, backpacks and school supplies to thousands of families. We are on over 20 school campuses with volunteers and do service projects in the community. Celebrate America honors our veterans, and draws over 30,000 people each year. We love our schools, we love our seniors, we love our families, we lover our veterans and we Love Our City!

Mission

To create healthy families which in turn will build a healthy community. We do this by offering free services to under resourced families in the areas of education, arts, family wellness, and community.

Needs

These funds are necessary for us to respond to need within the community. In the past these funds have been used for providing supplies to families, additional resource classes and for workshops.

To add additional Co-parenting and Building Hope classes. In addition, more teachers are needed for classes in Coping with Anxiety and Stress for teens, as well as Anger Management for teens and adults.

Specific groceries for our Back to School Back Pack and School Supply event which includes a BBQ for 3,000 people coming from many under resourced schools in the community. NICE clothing for a boutique we are opening for under resourced families. The boutique will not be open to the public but by invitation in partnership with schools and govt. agencies.

Volunteers are needed for our Outreach events in the community which takes 100's of volunteers for each one. Building 1,000's of new bikes at Christmas, handing out 1,000's of Back Packs filled with school supplies in August and our Love Our City days in the region where we paint schools and serve other NPO's in our region with practical needs.

In need of computers and tablets for the Center. Both the family classes and learning center utilize them during classes. Also in need of video and audio equipment to launch future classes in those areas.
