Transform a Life through Mentorship

I support Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Sacramento Area because I believe in the power of mentorship. This mission is personal to me because mentoring changed my life. Growing up in poverty with little to no support at home, mentors shaped who I am today. They encouraged me to reach higher than what I ever thought possible, gave me the roadmap how to get there and grew my confidence in my ability to achieve whatever big dreams I had. No doubt this altered my trajectory and transformed my life.

That's why in 2010, I decided to join Big Brothers Big Sisters as a volunteer thinking I too may be able to make an impact on someone's life in a similar way. 16 years later, Xavier and I (pictured above) are still close friends and his life's trajectory too has changed. 

I am asking for you to join me this year because we have seen a huge influx in youth enrollments and those signing up are needing even more support from our team. Currently over 100 youth have applied to be a Little Brother or Little Sister in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program, completed the trainings and are patiently waiting for a mentor in our program. Your donation gives them that rare opportunity. No amount is too small.
