Did you know that Big Day of Giving (May 1) is also International Save the Rhino Day?!
The Sacramento Zoo is home to J. Gregory, a Southern white rhinoceros. He is an important ambassador for his counterparts in the wild. Worldwide, rhinos are in crisis due to poaching and habitat loss. The Sacramento Zoo partners with the International Rhino Foundation to help save this amazing creature.
J. Gregory is just one of the many threatened and endangered animals that the zoo is helping to protect.
