Joanne/Anolani’s Ohana Dance Group Fundraiser

Aloha! 

What an incredibly hula journey I’ve had thus far since relocating to Sacramento and joining Ohana Dance Group. Not only has it been culturally enriching, but it has introduced me to a hula ‘ohana that I feel I belong to and can call my own. 

Each year my halau has a special opportunity to take students to the island of O’ahu to learn from Lehua Kawaikapuokalani Hewett, the source of our lineage in hula. We would like to reduce the expenses so that 20-30 students can attend and participate in this learning opportunity. Students will partake in workshops, a celebration following Lehuaʻs lineage, and take tours to learn more about the Hawaiian culture, ‘aina (land), and our lineage.
