Web and social media is often a department that gets overlooked and pushed to the side. It is viewed as unimportant and unworthy of time. As the creative minds behind Acme’s Web Department, we find this not only rude, but harmful. Web and social media does so much to ensure the success of this company. We are the backbone, we are the foundational ecosystem, we are the trendsetters, and we are vital in ensuring everything runs smoothly.

Web and social media is the department at the frontline of publicity. From important dates, to auditions, to volunteer opportunities, to show announcements, to so much more, we keep the public informed of the latest and greatest of Acme. We make sure that anyone and everyone who could be aware is aware. We also work hard to make sure the hard work of everyone in this company is acknowledged through behind the scenes posts, thank you posts, and more! If you see any current Acme news highlighted, you can probably thank us for that!

The Web Department is also in charge of the Big Day of Giving. It is because of our hardwork and dedication that campaigns are made, videos are launched, and the news of BDOG spreads. We help ensure Acme has the funding it needs, and ensure all of our departments get a proper light to shine in. Plus, without BDOG, other departments wouldn’t have the funds they need to keep their hard work going strong. 

The digital world is vast and ever expanding, and we rise to this challenge. We manage Acme’s Youtube, Facebook, Instagram, and any and all other social media. We make sure that all information about our company is accessible and fun to interact with. We design all of our graphics by hand, and much thought goes into color palettes, designs, fonts, and general looks. We are always looking to improve the way information is spread, and take our jobs as a lifelong learning challenge. 

If you have ever been to the Acme Website, that is designed by us as well! The Web Department creates and maintains the Acme website, ensuring that all information is up to date. We help ensure all information is easy and quick to find, and play a vital role in making sure all company information is in one place. 

As you can see, the Web is no small task, it is essential in helping Acme thrive! In order to improve our work and make this department really shine, we are hoping to raise funds for an ipad and Apple Pencil this Big Day of Giving. These items would allow our graphics skills to fly even higher, and would be vital in ensuring the success of the Web Department for years to come!
