We’re building a future where every LGBTQ+ student has the support, resources, and opportunity to succeed.
Each year, we provide critical scholarship funding to LGBTQ+ and allied students across the Sacramento region—students who often face unique and disproportionate challenges. According to national data, LGBTQ+ youth are more than twice as likely to experience bullying, significantly more likely to face housing instability, and often lack access to financial and family support when pursuing higher education.
That’s where we step in.
Through the generosity of our community, the Foundation awards scholarships that help students cover tuition, books, housing, and other essential expenses. But the impact goes far beyond financial support. These scholarships send a powerful message: you are seen, you are valued, and your future matters.
In 2025 alone, we proudly awarded 14 scholarships to deserving students—each one a future leader, innovator, and changemaker.

The Rainbow Chamber Foundation was established as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in 2007, with the mission to promote mentoring, guidance, and education, and to support programs that improve the quality of life of the LGBTQ community.
* MONETARY DONATIONS: Our primary need is monetary donations to support our scholarships and other community programs.
* IN-KIND / EVENT: For special events, we accept wine and liquor, gift cards to local grocery stores and/or catering, event space, and silent auction and live auction items.
* BOARD MEMBERS / VOLUNTEERS: Additionally, we are always seeking board members and committee volunteers.
