About Lighthouse Visionary Group

Lighthouse Visionary Group is a mission-driven organization dedicated to restoring hope, rebuilding lives, and creating sustainable pathways to independence. We exist to serve individuals and families who are navigating life transitions — particularly those overcoming substance use challenges, housing instability, and personal hardship.

At Lighthouse Visionary Group, we believe transformation is possible when structure, support, and opportunity come together. Our work centers around providing safe, structured living environments, recovery support services, life skills development, and community integration programs that empower individuals to regain stability and confidence.

What We Do

Structured Sober Living & Transitional Housing
We provide safe, supportive, and accountability-based living environments designed to promote recovery, personal growth, and long-term independence. Our residences foster peer support, routine, and responsibility while offering a stable foundation for rebuilding lives.

Recovery Support Services
We promote holistic healing through structured programming that includes peer mentorship, guided wellness practices, accountability measures, and access to recovery resources. Our approach addresses mental, emotional, and physical well-being.

Life Skills & Workforce Development
We equip residents with practical tools for long-term success, including:

  • Resume building and job readiness training

  • Financial literacy guidance

  • Personal development coaching

  • Goal setting and accountability planning

Wellness & Personal Growth
We emphasize whole-person wellness through structured routines, mindfulness practices, community engagement, and activities that build confidence and self-worth.

Community Engagement & Partnerships
Lighthouse Visionary Group collaborates with local organizations, service providers, and community leaders to create expanded opportunities for our residents. We believe reintegration into the community is essential for sustained success.

Our Vision

We envision a future where every individual, regardless of their past circumstances, has access to stability, dignity, and opportunity. Lighthouse Visionary Group serves as a beacon — guiding individuals from crisis to clarity, from instability to independence.

Giving Activity

Mission

At the Palm House, our mission is to provide a sanctuary of support and healing for individuals in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction.

We are dedicated to fostering a nurturing enviroment where residents can rebuild their lives, cultivate lasting sobriety, and develop the skills needed for a successful transition to independent living.

Through a structured, drug free environment and a strong sense of community, we empower our residents to embrace personal growth and achieve their fullest potential.

Needs

Lighthouse Visionary Group – Infrastructure for Stability & Community

Lighthouse Visionary Group currently serves individuals in sober and transitional housing who are rebuilding their lives after substance use disorder, homelessness, and justice involvement. While we provide safe, structured housing and accountability, critical infrastructure gaps limit our ability to fully support long-term stability and community reintegration.

To meet the growing needs of our residents and expand our impact, we are seeking funding for three essential investments: a transportation van, industrial kitchen equipment, and the development of an on-site community center — the “Barnasium.”

1. Transportation Van: Removing Barriers to Employment & Care

Reliable transportation remains one of the largest barriers to stability for our residents. Many individuals enter our program without a vehicle, driver’s license, or access to dependable public transit. This directly impacts:

Employment opportunities

Access to outpatient treatment and medical appointments

Court compliance

Educational and vocational training

Community engagement and recovery meetings

A dedicated program van would allow us to provide structured transportation support, increasing employment placement rates, improving treatment compliance, and reducing the risk of relapse due to logistical barriers.

Transportation is not a convenience — it is a critical pathway to independence.

2. Industrial Kitchen Equipment: Building Skills & Sustainability

Food insecurity and limited culinary infrastructure present both a practical and developmental challenge within recovery housing.

Upgrading to industrial-grade kitchen equipment will allow us to:

Provide structured meal preparation programs

Offer food handler certification and culinary job training

Prepare meals efficiently for a large residential population

Host community meals and recovery-focused events

Explore small social enterprise opportunities to sustain programming

An industrial kitchen creates more than meals — it creates job skills, responsibility, collaboration, and self-worth.

3. The “Barnasium”: On-Site Community & Wellness Center

Recovery requires more than abstinence; it requires connection, purpose, and belonging.

We are seeking support to develop an on-site community center, referred to as the “Barnasium,” which will serve as a safe, structured gathering space for:

Recovery meetings

Life skills workshops

Employment readiness classes

Peer mentoring

Physical wellness activities

Community-building events

Many individuals in recovery experience isolation, trauma, and fractured support systems. The Barnasium will provide a central hub for positive engagement, pro-social connection, and structured programming — all of which are proven protective factors against relapse and recidivism.

This space will transform our housing program from a place people live into a community where people grow.

Equity Statement

At Lighthouse Visionary Group, we believe that recovery, stability, and opportunity are not privileges — they are human rights.

We are committed to advancing equity in housing and behavioral health by creating safe, structured, and supportive environments for individuals from all backgrounds. Many of the people we serve have experienced systemic barriers, including poverty, justice involvement, homelessness, trauma, and disparities in access to care. We intentionally work to reduce those barriers by providing dignified housing, clear pathways to stability, and consistent accountability.

We do not discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, disability, socioeconomic status, or justice system involvement. Our homes are grounded in respect, fairness, and equal access to opportunity.

Equity at Lighthouse Visionary Group means:

Providing consistent standards and expectations for all residents

Ensuring access to supportive services and recovery resources

Fostering culturally responsive, trauma-informed environments

Partnering with community agencies to improve access for underserved populations

Continuously evaluating our practices to promote fairness and inclusion

We recognize that true equity requires both structure and compassion. Our programs are designed to uphold accountability while honoring the dignity and lived experiences of every individual we serve.

Lighthouse Visionary Group remains committed to building recovery communities where every person has a fair opportunity to rebuild, thrive, and lead a stable, purpose-driven life.
