Every 45 seconds a child enters foster care. We know that most children in foster care will have multiple foster parents, schools, social workers and teachers in their lives while in care, all while dealing with the trauma of abuse or neglect and separation from their family of origin.

CASA El Dorado serves and supports the young victims of child abuse and neglect in our community and addresses the root causes of this abuse. We recruit, train, and supervise volunteer Advocates from our community, who give us the flexibility to serve children and families in-need of support through three complimentary programs; Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) program, Family Coaching and Family Law.

Since 1992, CASA El Dorado has served over 3,500 children in foster care. Our volunteer advocates spend an average of 6,000 hours per year serving our youth. Currently we have 84 advocates who serve 128 children, with 17 children waiting for an advocate of their own.

Our Vision

A world where every child who has experienced abuse or neglect is given the opportunity to thrive in a safe and loving home.

Giving Activity

Mission

Child Advocates of El Dorado (CASA) provides support, empowerment, and a voice for the abused, neglected and at risk youth in our community.

Needs

Funding: to help us continue our service to abused, neglected and at-risk youth in the community.

Community partnerships and sponsorships: Corporate gifts, sponsorships for our annual events Gala and Box Lunch and in-kind donations are essential to our overall event success.

Volunteers (age 21+): We need individuals to become CASA volunteers to help support; foster youth who have been abused or neglected, at-risk youth that find themselves in juvenile court, and family law advocating for the youth whose families are going through difficult times. We currently have 19 children waiting for a Court Appointed Special Advocate of their own.

Friends of CASA El Dorado: Assist in fundraising, outreach, and recruitment efforts. Like us on Facebook and Instagram to help us spread the word of who we are and what we do to support the abused, neglected and at-risk youth in our community.
